Chris Cuccia

I am ACL Pro Chris Cuccia from the Southeast Conference and this is my story of how I became a professional cornhole player for the ACL. Jimmy Buffet tailgate 13 years ago. From the first bag I was hooked! My wife and I played together and got whooped all day. They were spinning the bag!!! We bought a set the next day and found our first tournament that weekend. I pulled one of the best players aside and got a lesson and watched most of the day. Haven't stopped playing since.

Courtney Coy

I am ACL Pro Courtney Coy from the Great Lakes Conference and this is my story of how and when I started playing cornhole and worked my way up to an ACL Pro. I was 15 years old when I started playing in the backyard with my dad just messing around, then I started playing in blind draws around my area through Capital City Cornhole. As I got better, I started traveling to bigger tournaments and found out I could compete with the competition. The more I played the better I got.

Eli Stevens

I am ACL Pro Eli Stevens from the Mid-East Conference and this is my story of how I became a professional cornhole player for the American Cornhole League. Went from beating up on everyone at back yard events to hustling folks at local bars until I met Dave Weiser and got into one of his leagues. That’s when I got introduced to competitive Cornhole. I got my ass kicked at first now about 7 years later I’m one of the best In the Cleveland area

Emory Parker

I am Emory Parker ACL Pro from the Southeast Conference and this is my story of how and when I started playing cornhole and worked my way up to an ACL Pro. Went to South Bend, Indiana when I was 11 for a Florida State - Notre Dame football game. I had never seen cornhole before that and immediately fell in love. Upon returning home I built a set of boards with my Dad and it became a staple at our tailgates indefinitely. After graduating from Florida State, I moved to South Florida where I was looking for ways to meet people. I ran across South Florida Cornhole and went out for my first tournament that night. The rest was history as I began traveling out of town for tournaments and competing against the best in the state, and eventually the country.

As much as I love competing, for me Cornhole is all about the people you meet. Everyone has so much fun and enjoys being around one another. I cannot say enough about the people I have met from this game AKA "my cornhole fam."

Steven Bernacet

I am ACL Pro Steven Bernacet from the Great Lakes Conference and this is my story of how I became a professional cornhole player for the ACL. I started playing cornhole after going to a party and seeing that my skill level was slightly above the level that everyone else was playing at. After that night, I went home and searched YouTube to find out more about the sport. The first videos I watched were of Matt Guy. It was awesome seeing him throw bag after bag in the hole. After I watched more videos, I decided to start playing in some local tournaments to see if I could compete at that level. I quickly realized that I was becoming better and progressing much faster than I anticipated. As I was looking for more tournaments to play in, I found that there was a cornhole organization hosting a tournament that weekend. I signed up and drove about 3 hours away to my first regional. As soon as I was ready to play my first organized game ever, I saw Matt Guy standing at my board ready to go. Of course, with my nerves and with the initial shock of the G.O.A.T. standing so close to me, I ended up losing that game. After that tournament, being the passionate and determined person that I am, I worked harder and was officially addicted to cornhole.

I am ACL Pro Bob Vonch from the Mid-South Conference and this is my story of how I became a professional cornhole player for the American Cornhole League. Started as backyard pitching. I went and watched a pro tournament and got hooked.

Josh Thielen

I am ACL Pro Josh Thielen from the West Conference and this is my story of how I became a professional cornhole player for the ACL.
My neighbor JD and I started playing in our neighborhood in 2017 on some aluminum boards. JD always kicked everyone's butt in the neighborhood, "bouncing" and airmailing bags at will. In the fall of 2017, a local bar hosted a tap takeover event with a cornhole tournament and of course, we had to go. Not only did we win the event, we landed our first sponsor as our neighbor Marc kept the cold beverages coming throughout the event. In the championship game, we played Jeff Chimienti and his brother. Jeff asked us to join the cornhole league he was starting, and so we joined the inaugural season of Pacific Coast Cornhole (PCC). During the initial months, we were focused more on the social aspects of the game but having the opportunity to learn from some of California's best players, we grew our skills and eventually took the game more seriously
