Florentino Mendoza
I am ACL Pro Florentino Mendoza from the West Conference and this is my story of how I became a professional cornhole player for the ACL.
I started playing cornhole in 2017. I originally played horseshoe’s in California and when I moved to Arizona in 2017, my cousin introduced me to Cornhole. I started playing in tournaments and being very competitive. Then I started practicing to master the game. In 2021/2022 my hard work paid off when I was selected for the ACL Pro Development Cup.

If it wasn’t for COVID, I wouldn’t be playing Cornhole. I was hardcore into shooting pool and traveled to many tournaments to do so. Obviously, Coronavirus happened and the bars closed down so pool was put on hold. So me being me I had to find something else to play. I used to play Cornhole 10 years ago but I got a girlfriend (now wife) and stepped away from the game. Fast forward 8 years and I saw cornhole on ESPN. I thought to myself I can do that and googled how to get into playing competitively. Turns out there was a conference that next weekend so I decided to go. David Morse was taking signups and asked my skill level. I asked him what’s the highest level I can play in. Then the first person I saw playing was Jay Rubin and I knew I was in trouble that day. I went through a lot of whoopings to get where I’m at now. Now, David Morse is a good buddy of mine and Jay Rubin took me under his wing.

Josh Bordelon
I am ACL Pro Josh Bordelon from the SouthWest Conference and this is my story of how and when I started playing cornhole and worked my way up to an ACL Pro. Playing in the backyard early Summer of 2018, I decided it was time to search for some tournaments in the New Orleans area only to find that their really wasn’t much competitive. I decided to start my own league (GNO Cornhole) and it has taken off over this past year. Since then, I have traveled to a couple Conferences and Nationals to gain experience and improve my game to achieve enough points to qualify to be an ACL Pro. I am grateful for the ACL for giving me this opportunity and look forward to many great experiences along the way to improving my game as a Pro.

Lori Dool
SouthEast ConferenceI am ACL Pro Lori Dool from the Southeast Conference and this is my story of how I became a professional cornhole player for the ACL. I started playing Cornhole in college to win gift cards at Buffalo Wild Wings on football Sundays but did not start playing competitively with South Florida Cornhole until November 2017. Cornhole is an engaging sport that incorporates talent, skill, and mental toughness that has taken this hobby to something that I never expected. To be an ACL Pro is an incredible opportunity to travel, meet some of the best people, and to inspire others to play.

Kyle Malone
I am Kyle Mayday Malone ACL Pro from the Southeast Conference and this is my story of how and when I started playing cornhole and worked my way up to an ACL Pro. My favorite aspect about this sport is the amazing people it has brought into my life. It’s not just a group of people, it’s a family. When I first started at a local bar as no more than an amateur, the crowd welcomed me and approached me with tips and advice to help my game. Now from there I’m on the pro circuit looking to be a world champion. Outside of that though my main hobbies are softball and fishing naturally since I do live in Florida. Without cornhole I honestly do not know what I would do on the weekends or even during the week anymore. At this point, I couldn’t imagine not playing.

From the first bag I was hooked! My wife and I played together and got whooped all day. They were spinning the bag!!! We bought a set the next day and found our first tournament that weekend. I pulled one of the best players aside and got a lesson and watched most of the day. Haven't stopped playing since.

Austin Kipple
TeamAddicts Brand AmbassadorI am TeamAddicts Brand Ambassador Austin Kipple and this is my story of how I started playing cornhole. Started off playing cornhole with my family when we would go camping over the summer then my neighbors Mike and Lea Kitzmiller, former ACL Pros, got me into the competitive cornhole. I was shocked when I found out how big cornhole was just over a year ago when I started. After my first blind draw and meeting the nicest group of people ever at cornhole, I quickly became passionate for this sport and only strive to be better every day.
