As this 2019/20 season comes to a close, you may be thinking about becoming an ACL Pro Player next season. Well, the American Cornhole League just released some information and guidelines to do that.
Number of ACL Pro Player spots open
The ACL Pro Division for the 2020/21 season is looking to be the biggest and the best yet. With a total of 256 spots available, the breakdown is as follows:
- There are 220 Spots reserved for returning ACL Pro Players from this 2019/20 Season (these Pros have until August 1st, 2020 to indicate whether or not they will return)
- 32 Spots are reserved for top finishers at the ACL Pro Qualifier at the 2020 ACL World Championships on August 9th
- Only 4 Spots are being reserved for the ACL Pro Player Application
- Any remaining spots will be created if any of the 220 returning Pros choose not to accept their spot. Those slots will be filled from the application and/or Pro Qualifier Results
Players who compete in the 2020 ACL Pro Player Qualifier are also encouraged to submit an application to increase their chances of making it into the Pro Division.
Applications are due no later than August 9th, 2020. Accepted applicants will be notified by August 20th, 2020. All ACL Pro Players for the 2020-2021 ACL Season will be asked to sign their contract by August 31st, 2020.
The minimum guaranteed prize pool is $250,000 for ACL Pros next season. This amount is subject to change (will not be lower, but the ACL reserves the right to increase the overall prize pool at any time).

With only 32 open spots for the top finishers in the qualifier and 4 spots for applicants, you need to be on top of your game and your resume skills!! In case you missed reading this part, the ACL recommends you to fill out an application as well as try-out in the pro qualifier.
