Online cornhole is the future of the game. Sure, we all want to be able to go to a tournaments and see our “family” but right now that is just not possible. We all must do our part so we can get past this that much sooner.
Online virtual cornhole was popular during COVID times but now, people are back at leagues and tournaments.
How To Go Live on Facebook
No matter what group you play with, you will need to stream your game live on Facebook. So lets show you how to do that.
- Go to the page/group you are playing on. For this demo, I am playing in the group Corona Quarantine Virtual Cornhole. Once on the page, click the spot as if you are going to leave a post, as shown in picture below.
- This is where you want to write a description of the video and, if you have music playing, be sure to add “We do not own the rights to the music“.
If you choose not to add description here, you can wait til the next screen. After you have the description, click the “Go Live” link. Don’t worry though, you are not Live yet. - Now you are on the final screen. If you did not enter a description, this is your final chance before the video starts. There are also filters you can use but that’s more advanced stuff for another tutorial. Once you get the phone set and you are ready, click the “Start Live Video” button and start playing!
- After your game, click “Finish” to end the broadcast.
Recommended Equipment
A couple of obvious things you will need are Cornhole bags and boards. A score tower is good and also features a slot on top to hold up a tablet, if you are using that instead of the actual scoreboard. We also recommend a good tripod to hold your phone while you are live streaming on Facebook.
While a Cornhole Addicts jersey is not needed, I am sure you want to look your best playing online where everyone can see you. And this is the perfect time to grab one.
